There is a push towards generic-style mass-produced buildings. So many traditional-style houses are disappearing, and we are always left wondering why areas with much history is left unpreserved. This book project delves into megacity apartment blocks, explicitly looking at Helio City, the largest megacity in South Korea with over 9000 units. Are these apartment cities serving communities in all aspects? This book includes an exaggerated futuristic comic story magnifying the reality of these flat-pack-style apartment blocks.
Combining aspects from film and artists’ work creates a speculative vision of our future.
